Deleting Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Skipper account and the personal information associated with it, what is removed, and what limited records Skipper Software, LLC is legally required to retain. It applies to all Skipper users, including drivers, dispatchers, administrators, and passengers.

Option 1: Delete in the App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Skipper mobile app:

  • Open the Skipper app and sign in

  • Go to Settings, then select "Delete account"

  • Type DELETE to confirm, then confirm the final prompt

Your account is deactivated and your personal information is anonymized immediately. The underlying records are then permanently purged within 30 days.

Option 2: Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, email us at support@skippernemt.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account." To protect against unauthorized deletion, we will verify your identity before processing the request. Verified requests are completed within 30 days.

What Is Deleted

When you delete your account, we remove or irreversibly anonymize:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address

  • Your account credentials and authentication tokens

  • Driver details such as license numbers, vehicle information, and certifications, where applicable

  • Profile and preference data associated with your account

  • Locally cached data on your device, which is cleared when you sign out

What We Are Required to Retain

As a platform that supports non-emergency medical transportation, we are legally required to retain certain records even after an account is deleted. Where retention is required, the data is disassociated from your identity to the extent permitted by law:

  • Transportation and trip records containing protected health information (PHI), retained to meet HIPAA and applicable state NEMT recordkeeping requirements

  • Billing, invoice, and payment records, retained as required by tax and financial regulations

  • Records we are obligated to keep to comply with legal process, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements

These records are retained only for as long as the applicable law requires, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
